Terrorists tried and sentenced in an Iraqi court
The first death sentences, since the fall of Saddam, have been given to three Iraqi terrorists who were convicted of 20 operations that involved killings of Iraqi Policemen, kidnapping of Iraqis and raping Iraqis girls.
Two Syrians, who entered Iraq illegally and got captured in al Falluja, were convicted of arms assaults and sentenced to life in prison.
The hearing lasted for five hours, while fifty Iraqis, most of whom were families of the victims, were present in the court room. The death sentences will be executed within 10 days. [Arabic link]
I watched part of the trial on Al Iraqiya TV. The statements of the witnesses and the terrorists were very very gruesome, I don't think you want to hear it. Death is too good for these low life terrorists!

There will be more Justice dispensed by the Courts of Law in your land. The rule of democratic law will prevail and I like many in the world await the trial of the monster saddam hussein. I only hope his execution is televised for the world to see. Iraq will be the only nation in recent,modern history to be able to try, convict and execute a living monster and criminal against the Creator and humanity. Stalin was not tried, nor Hitler, nor Pol Pot, nor Idi Amin, Milosovich will probably die of natural causes before he is convicted, but saddam hussein will be tried,judged and sentenced by the people he brutalized and murdered. God Bless Iraq!!

I'm glad this is now taking place. As long as the trials are fair and evidence is reliable, the courts are a great remedy for the lawlessness that the terrorists want to create.

Only a monster like one of the convicts.
I really hope they will let us (Iraqis) have some time with Saddam before they hang him… I promise, I’ll be good. But I don’t think anybody will trust a TRUE Iraqi with Saddam.
